Food is Love & Vibration

Roasted Beet and Ricotta Puree with Mint

Food that is organic has life and can be a healing energy for your body and spirit. I can show you the way, for pleasure, enjoyment, love and healing to cook with your heart and soul and you will reap the benefits. I promise you.

Cooking doesn’t have to be followed from a recipe, although recipes can serve as inspiration and a springboard to create. Cooking is done from the heart. It is important to begin with quality ingredients, preferably organic and even better when grown close to your home (including your own garden if you have one) and as fresh as possible. Farmer’s Markets and local Co op’s are an excellent source for organic produce that is grown close to where you reside. Food retains its vital life force for approximately 24 hours, so the closer your food is grown to home, the better the freshness and vital life force.  If you don’t have access to locally grown or organic products, there are ways of clearing your food and energizing it.

Spaghetti with cauliflower, kale, roasted yellow peppers, tomatoes and pine nuts

There is a way I was taught by Hannah Krueger, a nurse and homeopath who came to this country escaping Nazi Germany. She is long since gone, but she taught that when you place a hand on each side of your plate, (also with products recently purchased at the store and on your kitchen counter) ask that the food be blessed, purified and restored back to its original life force and make it healthy and vibrant for your body.   In doing so, you are raising the vibration and frequency of the food you eat and also making it healthier for your body.  Remember the body is the temple of the soul and we need to nourish and care for it in the best ways possible.

The most important thing about cooking is to have fun and cook with your heart. Remember food is love and cooking is love in motion. Begin with foods that you like to eat.

Tabouleh topped with wild spring onions

I’m going to begin with some recipes from my childhood which are not only tasty but very healthy.  I’m half Lebanese and I grew up eating a lot of Lebanese foods, like hummus, baba ganoush, taboulleh, fattoush (Lebanese bread and tomato salad similar to the Italian Panzanella) stuffed grapeleaves and stuffed zucchini with lamb, rice and spices, and other lamb dishes like kibbeh. In this blog, I want to show you how to make hummus and so much more. There’s no need to buy hummus or tabouleh from the grocery store anymore. Homemade is so much better!

See the recipe above for hummus and the index for other recipes. And remember to have fun and enjoy!

I believe everything is vibration and frequency/energy. I have already mentioned buying organic food that is locally grown or better yet growing your own food is not only better for you but also contains a higher vibration. And as I have already mentioned, there are ways you can enhance the vibration and energy of food through the blessing of it. There is also prayer which is a form of blessing. My best example is the yearly fudge I make at Christmas time. The ingredients are all things that are generally considered bad for you such as sugar and chocolate. But when I make my fudge, I pray over the pot while I stir for 10 minutes. I pray that every single person who takes a bite of my fudge will receive healing and feel the joy and love that goes into making it. The comments I have received over decades of making it attest that not only is this the best fudge ever. And I would like to think there is some magical alchemy taking place. Thoughts, intention and words, like everything else in the Universe has energy and frequency. If you have a sweet tooth and/or want a little more sweetness in your life, I encourage you to try this fudge recipe and pray over it while you are making it.
